Described as ‘The Wicker Man for the Harry Brown generation’, Community offers a sideways slant on the found footage/camcorder horror genre.

This British effort focuses on Will (Elliott Jordan) and Isabelle (Jemma Dallendar), two student filmmakers who decide to pay a visit to the notorious Draymen Estate.

The estate has become an urban legend of sorts with tales of strange locals and brutal violence, and the student pair think their proposed documentary on the place will launch their respective careers.

You probably don’t need me to tell you though that things do not go exactly to plan, and soon the duo are fighting for their lives as much as that killer money shot.

Written, directed (and even starring) first-time helmer Jason Ford, Community gets its world premiere at Frightfest on Sunday, August 26.

He is currently working with director Richard Loncraine to explore all avenues in a bid to orchestrate the re-release of 1978 Mia Farrow chiller Full Circle
